BRITE Adds to Growing Team

Warren, OH – BRITE Energy Innovators has welcomed three new professionals to Ohio’s only
energy incubator, located in Warren. In addition, the startup incubator has promoted Sara
Daugherty from Head of Partnerships to Chief of Staff.


Sara Daugherty has been named Chief of Staff of BRITE, after just three short years at the
incubator. Sara is responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring and continually
improving the key operational business processes and procedures of the organization, as well as
compliance and human resources management. She most recently served as Head of
Partnerships – growing industry relationships and leading BRITE’s e-mobility efforts. Prior to
that, Daugherty also managed day-to-day operations, including business and program
development as Director of Operations. Daugherty has an extensive background in long-range
planning for economic development and transportation initiatives.

Jennifer Brindisi has been named Director of Communications and Marketing at BRITE and
is responsible for overseeing BRITE’s brand and mission. Before joining the team, Jen spent
nearly twenty years in broadcast news, as an anchor and reporter in three states, including
stations here in the valley at WKBN, WYFX and WFMJ. She also worked in communications,
sales, and development within corporate, nonprofit, and government organizations including
the Ohio Attorney General.

Jing Lyon now serves as Entrepreneur Programs Director for BRITE, where she leads
engagement with founders of startup energy companies. Prior to BRITE, Jing worked in several
startups including founding an electric bicycle company based in Cleveland, OH. She also spent
time in corporate America working as a process and continuous improvement consultant
specializing in business analytics.

Jerry Cordaro serves as Special Projects Program Manager at BRITE, where he monitors and
delivers on all phases of grants and contracts for the incubator. His background includes project
management, education, and consulting.
In addition, BRITE has added Jamie Donahue to its growing team:

Jamie joined the BRITE team as Executive Assistant. In that role, she ensures governance of the
Board and organization by supporting the President and CEO with day-to-day support. Jamie
worked as an office manager for a locally owned lawn service company prior to BRITE.
