JEA is aiming to provide a portable PV solar system that requires no expert installation. It will simply plug right into a standard 110v outlet. This product will deliver an 800W power rating system, and at a retail cost of $2150. It competes with traditional PV installers of $2.83 per Watt but at a significantly lower entry price point. This price point, ease of installation, and ability for the unit to be transported solves the problem of lack of access for many energy consumers to renewables generation products.
