Warren, OH – BRITE is extraordinarily proud to announce that it has been awarded the Constellation E2 Energy to Educate grant amounting to $24,960. This achievement propels us further into our mission to drive an inclusive, transformative energy revolution.

This grant will allow us to launch the ‘BRITE Clean Energy Education & Outreach Program’. True to its name, this initiative is all about sparking innovation in the minds of our wonderful community, inspiring students to re-imagine the landscape of energy as we know it.

“We are always inspired by the creativity and passion displayed by the schools and nonprofit organizations that apply for Energy to Educate funding, and this year is no exception,” said Kathleen Barrón, executive vice president and chief strategy officer, Constellation.

Data suggests a rising demand for professionals in the energy sector. By lighting the path for younger generations, we aim to curb the number of underrepresented communities in energy-related fields. This grant is a step towards changing not just numbers, but narratives.

“BRITE doesn’t just believe in the power of clean energy; we believe in the power of the young entrepreneurs to come. This grant fuels our passion for educating the leaders of tomorrow,” states Rick Stockburger, President and CEO of BRITE.

Energy to Educate has provided nearly $6 million in grant funding reaching more than 290,000 students since the program was launched in 2010. Grant recipients are announced each year during American Education Week. This grant mirrors BRITE’s commitment to a sustainable, equitable future, inspiring the next generation of professionals in the energy sector.
