Meet The Team

David Solan is an expert in advanced energy technologies and consults with all types of companies, from start-ups to the Fortune 100, as well as the International Atomic Energy Agency.   He has had a distinguished career in R&D.  He has directed the Office of Renewable Power at the US Department of Energy (solar, wind, water, and geothermal, and grid) with a budget of $640 million annually, served in the R&D office at the US Environmental Protection Agency, and was an executive at a research consortium with a Department of Energy national laboratory and four research universities.  He has also served on the boards for an Investor-owned Utility, the manager and operator of the Idaho National Laboratory, and The Electricity Journal.  He is the Principal for Solan Strategies, LLC, a firm specializing in strategy, advanced energy and environmental technologies for new markets, and regulatory risk management.  

Solan received his PhD and Master’s from the University of Delaware, and a bachelor’s degree from Drew University.
