Pauly Suchy

Pauly lives with his daughter and wife in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a father, husband, brother, son, and a techie who has spent most of his life writing, running, and building things online. 

He now serves as BRITE’s Portfolio Manager, helping cleantech and climate startups raise capital and grow in Ohio/ the Midwest. He is also the Co-Host at Greyt Culture, a cultural media organization that produces concerts and tech events across Northeast Ohio. 

He recently wrapped up a six-year stint at the Global Entrepreneurship Network as both the Ohio State Coordinator for Global Entrepreneurship Week and the Director for Startup Programs, where he managed a community of over 500 founders and an angel network that had more than 20,000 individual members in over 60 countries. He helped plan the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Melbourne, Australia, both of which had more than 4,000 attendees from over 100 countries in attendance at each. He was previously the head of business development at BioflightVR, a VR medtech startup that relocated to Akron, Ohio. At BioflightVR, he worked on several products for Case Western Reserve University Medical School, Ohio Medicaid, Duke University, Akron Children’s Hospital, Oculus, and Facebook (Meta). He spent 7 years working in hospitality, helping to open and manage six restaurants in NYC and Ohio.  In that period, he launched a boutique sustainability consulting group that worked on public grant projects for various NYC-based universities, public schools, and childcare organizations. He spent 3 years as a research assistant with labs at Kent State University and Case Western Reserve University. 

He received his BS from Kent State University in 2016 and spent a year studying Environmental Sciences at Ohio University. 

He has experience starting and advising companies, engineering and launching products, raising capital, hosting large-scale concerts and events, and building startup communities.
