Valley-based Induction Professionals Develops Energy-efficient Induction Heating Technology

BRITE member Induction Professionals poses in front of their technology

Youngstown, OH – Induction Professionals announces its select participation at a major  technical conference in the Sunshine State regarding its innovative equipment used in the  induction heating process. The equipment is designed to save customers more than $1 million  in electrical costs while increasing competitiveness in today’s changing market.

The Youngstown-based company provided a detailed technical presentation at the Twelfth  International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar & Exposition, Extrusion Tech (ET): A  Clear Vision for the Future, in Orlando, Florida. ET 2022 is a comprehensive technical event  that addresses virtually every facet of the aluminum extrusion industry through its quality  programming. The seminar has a reputation for a commitment to excellence that is highly  respected by those in the aluminum extrusion industry. Delegates from around the world gather  to hear about the latest industry developments from the brightest minds in business and  academia.

Chosen to be part of that high-caliber presentation group was Thomas Kearney, President of  Induction Professionals. The presentation highlighted the 60Hz line frequency high efficiency  billet heater, developed by the company. By redesigning the equipment used in the induction  heating process, Induction Professionals has found a way to save a company at least 23% of the  direct cost of electricity in their heating process.

In addition, the equipment offers enhanced capabilities for manufacturers to compete in the  new greener energy-focused environment emerging today. That translates into reduced costs,  reduced carbon footprint, and more sustainable energy.

“A typical company can save more than $1 million during the life of its heating equipment based  on direct energy costs; not including demand charges,” said Induction Professionals’ President  Tom Kearney. “This is a huge savings in utility costs for an energy-intensive heating process.  The prototype operated 24 hours a day, for over 350 days a year, for 3 years before “A typical company can save more than $1 million during the life of its heating equipment based  on direct energy costs; not including demand charges,” said Induction Professionals’ President  Tom Kearney. “This is a huge savings in utility costs for an energy-intensive heating process.  The prototype operated 24 hours a day, for over 350 days a year, for 3 years before routine cleaning.”
