Nodis and ClearVue have undertaken a first phase evaluation for the US Air Force, trialling Nodis’ dynamic switchable glazing powered by ClearVue’s photovoltaic (PV) window technology.
ClearVue Technologies Ltd (ASX:CPV, OTCQB:CVUEF) and glazing technology company Nodis Pty Ltd are working on a combined electrically switchable, or tuneable, window solution for the US Air Force with CPV shares trading higher.
Early last year, Nodis kicked off an evaluation with the US Air Force for a first proof-of-concept solution combining its switchable film with a ClearVue PV window deployed in a building operated by the US Air Force Civil Engineering Center.
A first demonstration of this was shown to the US Air Force in May last year.
The companies have since signed a collaboration agreement for the purposes of exploring ongoing joint opportunities with the US Air Force, including smart window supply contracts.
Nodis and ClearVue intend to seek combined product sales from the US Air Force if the evaluation is successful.
