Electrada, a Cincinnati-based BRITE member company, is strategically advancing the electrification of the U.S. logistics network through a groundbreaking partnership with Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) and Salem Carriers. This collaboration will see Salem Carriers utilizing DTNA’s Freightliner eCascadia vehicles for their logistics operations in North Carolina, supported by Electrada’s comprehensive Charging as a Service (CaaS) offer. Electrada will provide full-scale depot electrification for Salem’s depot in Statesville, including additional en-route top-off charging at Duke Energy/Electrada’s mobility microgrid in Mt. Holly. This initiative not only marks the first deployment of Electrada’s CaaS solution, commenced with Daimler Truck Financial Services in 2023 but also embodies a significant step towards DTNA’s objective of achieving a carbon-neutral footprint across its supply chain by 2039. Through its role in this partnership, Electrada underscores its commitment to decarbonization and showcases the efficacy of its electric vehicle charging solutions within the logistics sector.
