MANUFACTURING INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY & JOB CENTER WILL HELP CREATE 30,000 JOBS AND BOOST REGIONAL ECONOMY BY $40B BY 2032
If you’ve driven past East 63rd Street and Chester Avenue lately you’ve seen a new building with a striking mural of black manufacturing heroes on the side and a shiny new STEM playground. It’s all part of MAGNET’s new $18.5 million Manufacturing, Innovation, Technology & Job Center and we’re proud to support it.
It’s open to the public and when you visit, you might find students trying 3D printing in the classrooms, job seekers training, manufacturing leaders learning a new kind of automation on the factory floor, high school kids narrowing down career choices on the interactive ball wall, or entrepreneurs building a new product in the prototyping lab.
We support the Manufacturing Center because it’s good for our organization and good for the region. The work happening inside will help thousands of people (including people from underrepresented communities) land great jobs. It will help companies adopt the Industry 4.0 technologies they need to compete globally. It will help create more physical product start-ups and a thriving innovation ecosystem.
Northeast Ohio has a Blueprint to lead the world in smart manufacturing. The Manufacturing Center is where we’re going to bring this vision to life, transforming the region into a global hub for smart manufacturing, creating 30,000 jobs and boosting the regional economy by $40 billion.
Hundreds of companies, nonprofits, governments, community groups and educators joined forces with MAGNET to build this new home for modern manufacturing. It’s going to change our companies, industry, and community for the better. Please visit, show your support, and do your part to make manufacturing better.
