At the 2024 Industry Growth Forum hosted by NREL, an unprecedented number of awards were distributed to groundbreaking clean technology innovators, highlighting the event’s growing significance in promoting sustainable energy solutions. In its 29th year, themed “Breaking Ground,” the forum recognized eight standout companies from a pool of 40 finalists, themselves chosen from over 200 applicants. These companies presented their technologies to a panel of investor judges. The event, which was sold out for the second year in a row, attracted nearly 900 participants from around the world who engaged in extensive networking sessions.
The awards spanned several stages of business development from early stages to commercialization, reflecting the broad spectrum of innovation in the clean energy sector. Among the winners was BRITE member Adena Power, taking home the People’s Choice Award. From Lewis Center, Ohio, Adena Power provides energy storage using sodium batteries and domestically sourced raw materials.
